During a recent visit to “The Bella Twins Podcast”, AEW superstar Bryan Danielson shared his thoughts on his upcoming championship bout with Swerve Strickland at AEW All In: London 2024.
Danielson expressed that he wants to relish this fight the same way he revelled in his encounter with Kofi Kingston during WrestleMania 35 back in 2019.
Below are a few standout points from the podcast:
When speaking about his upcoming bout with Swerve Strickland, Danielson remarked, “One of the things I loved about my wrestling career was my match with Kofi [Kingston] at WrestleMania 35. The experience and the thrill were remarkable, and I’m hoping for a match that is just as moving and an environment just as electrifying.”
Speaking on his experience getting concussed during the encounter and what has stayed with him, he said, “Something I’ll forever have etched in my mind, despite being concussed during that match, is walking backstage holding my daughter Birdie, and her stretching out her arms for a big hug. Creating lifelong memories like these—memories that maybe even my kids will forever remember— that’s what resonates.”
WrestleMania 35 saw Kofi Kingston emerge victorious against Danielson, securing the WWE Championship.
