This week on AEW Dynamite, the audience witnessed a brutal showdown between Swerve Strickland and Bryan Danielson. In what was the concluding segment of this week’s episode, Strickland ferociously targeted Bryan Danielson.
The primary event of the night saw Strickland pitted against Wheeler Yuta in a non-title bout. Throughout the match, Strickland progressively tortured Yuta while continually provoking Danielson. Until finally, the referee intervened to halt the match.
Danielson, who had been watching the match from ringside, intervened to assist Yuta. Unfazed, Strickland assuredly threatened to “cripple” Danielson, attempting to cement his retirement. In a shocking move, he launched a surreptitious attack on his rival, only to mock him by mimicking Danielson’s iconic “Yes!” chant as the programme signed off.
