In this week’s featured match of AEW Collision, Swerve Strickland came out on top, besting Tomohiro Ishii in an adrenaline-pumping title eliminator showdown.
However, one prominent individual expressed disappointment with the event. Renowned wrestler, Rob Van Dam, expressed his dissatisfaction on social media, exclaiming,
“I want my money back.”
Coupled with his reaction was a tweet that he posted on August 11, 2024.
Previously, in a conversation with Sports Illustrated, Swerve Strickland openly appreciated his colleague, MJF, for his dedication to his craft. He lauded MJF’s determination and fearlessness that set him apart from the rest. Strickland said,
“All I remember about him was his hunger. He wasn’t afraid. That’s what set him apart-they didn’t have that fear of going wherever they needed to be to get better. Max wanted to be around great competition. Even when he was young, he always put themselves around top talent and they wanted to test themselves in tough conditions. That’s how they got so good at such a young age. I don’t think Max has anything left to prove. That’s how good they are. But he’ll never admit that or allow himself to believe that. He’ll always keep working.”
