Wrestling star Cody Rhodes, also known as the ‘American Nightmare’, admitted that comments from ex-WWE Diva Champion Eve Torres prompted him to beef up his leg muscles. These interesting revelations were made during his recent “What Do You Want To Talk About?” podcast segment with guest Bianca Belair, where physicality was a key discussion point.
In the course of the podcast, Rhodes disclosed that he had always been conscious of his legs, which he felt were lacking in mass. A casual remark from Torres, made while she was doing an ID photoshoot, truly struck a chord with him. Recalling the instance, he said,
“Eve Torres was doing a photo shoot, and I was behind her. My legs have never been my strongest feature, they’re not sizeable. But, she turned to me during the shoot, and exclaimed, ‘I wish I had your legs’.
“For a brief moment, I interpreted her comment to mean she admired my muscles. But then it dawned upon me, she meant in the context of her own physique. She wished for my skinny legs on her body. This made me realize, my legs must really be quite small”.
Torres hung up her wrestling boots in year 2013, though she has made sporadic appearances since then, notably during the RAW Reunion event in July 2019.
Rhodes, on the other hand, has put significant efforts into improving his leg fitness. However, looking beyond his wrestling years, he is open to the idea of embracing a more relaxed approach towards his physique and is even considering putting on additional weight post his wrestling retirement.
