During the broadcast of WWE Friday Night SmackDown on August 9, 2024, (see how the match turned out here), some audience members may have failed to notice two brief appearances that occurred.
The first of these was a fleeting camera focus on the actor, Lou Ferrigno who was present at the event. The renowned original Incredible Hulk caught the camera’s attention and he looked fantastic at the age of 72.

In a swift turn of events just a few minutes later, a clip was played to announce the comeback of Giovanni Vinci. The video was a throwback to his NXT character when he transitioned to the name Giovanni Vinci, a departure from when he was known as Fabian Aichner.

Following Vinci’s migration to SmackDown in the 2024 WWE Draft due to his expulsion from Imperium during the April 22nd episode of Monday Night Raw, Vinci has been underutilized. With this new development, there may be a chance for Vinci to gain momentum in his career. Even if it’s not a major push, it’s undoubtedly a step up from his recent activities.
