Ricky Starks last made his appearance on AEW Collision’s issue aired on March 30th, during which he reportedly experienced a health scare that altered the anticipated result of his match.

Though he was removed from subsequent programming, Starks clarified publicly that he had not incurred an injury and communicated perplexity over AEW’s choice not to keep him involved. Tony Khan, AEW’s President, openly expressed his intent to return Starks to the screen.

Earlier on, we broke news that eWn had plans to reintroduce Starks as a hero, initiating a narrative that involved treachery by Big Bill, propelling a rivalry between him and Starks. Unfortunately, the anticipated hero turn failed to happen as a result of Starks’ choice not to follow that path.

This week, Pwinsider revealed that there is “certainly interest” in several AEW stars, including Starks, especially those whose contracts are nearing conclusion or who have been off the screen for a certain period.

Indeed, the Wresttling Observer Newsletter’s latest reports anticipate that Starks is likely to sign up with WWE once his AEW contract comes to an end.

The term of Starks’ contract with AEW is yet to be disclosed.
