Brock Lesnar initially made his wrestling entrance through Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) in 2000, where he polished his talents before moving up to the WWE main roster in 2002.
Before his WWE premiere, Lesnar exhibited his defiant side by acquiring tattoos without requisite authorization.
In a recent interaction with “Sportskeeda Wrestling,” Kenny Bolin refreshed an incident from Lesnar’s OVW stint, wherein his improper behavior with Jim Cornette’s spouse allegedly resulted in his ousting from the promotion.
Cornette, who helmed OVW at that time, warned Lesnar, also known as The Beast Incarnate, and eventually instigated Lesnar’s departure from the territory.
Regardless of this, WWE promptly recruited Lesnar and soon promoted him to the status of world champion, a development which left both Cornette and Bolin astounded.
Bolin highlighted the irony of WWE’s choice, underlining Cornette’s initial skepticism that Lesnar could rebound from a controversy to become a principal champion.
Bolin revealed, “I recollect when Brock was a part of Ohio Valley Wrestling, he got discharged for committing an act that was unacceptable with Cornette’s wife. Cornette warned him of a potential confrontation in the parking lot, and Brock left. We anticipated that Brock was finished. We couldn’t believe that he could behave that way with a woman on a live broadcast show and escape repercussions. And then we witness, within a span of 30-60 days or possibly 90 days, he’s the world champion. Jim remarked, ‘Well, they showed him. You can’t pull off these stunts, here’s the world title. What else do you aspire to do?’ It’s unbelievable.”
Regarding Lesnar’s present situation, he has been absent from WWE television since SummerSlam 2023 due to legal complexities associated with Vince McMahon’s lawsuit concerning sex trafficking.
