Thunder Rosa, during her recent stint on the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, shared her thoughts on the responsibility of wrestling veterans to nurture the industry’s younger generation. She voiced her belief that though everyone’s motives might vary, the overall intent to help the newer bunch in ways they’d prefer is often stymied by the management. She added that as a relatively junior veteran, she believes it’s important, especially when you’ve clocked 15-16 years, to aid the forthcoming generation by creating compelling storylines with them, sharing experiences, and imparting knowledge – an ethos she finds echoed by other veterans across the industry.

Meanwhile, AEW has been set to enjoy a tax credit from the state of Ohio, similar to the .6 million tax credit that WWE received earlier in February. This announcement was recently made by the Ohio Department of Development and the state’s governor Mike DeWine, which outlined .7 million in state tax credits allocated to support film and other related projects. AEW falls under the TV series category and will be granted a ,275,000 tax credit, coinciding with the staging of their episode of Collision in Cleveland, OH this coming September.

The official document outlined that the Ohio Motion Picture Tax Credit Program allows a refundable tax credit of 30% on production cast and crew wages and other in-state expenses eligible for feature-length films, documentaries, Broadway and pre-Broadway productions, miniseries, video games, and music videos. More details on the program can be accessed at development.ohio.gov/film.
