In a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, the up-and-coming WWE NXT contender, Lexis King, spoke on the prospect of graduating to the main stage.
Here, we’ve compiled some key takeaways from that engaging conversation:
Lexis King’s thoughts on possibly progressing to the main lineup: “I’ve always been prepared for this moment. This industry is my lifeblood. Of course, I’m ready. I already operate like a principal player. I’ve been refining my skills under the guidance of legends such as Shawn Michaels and Terry Taylor, and they’ve groomed me to be a leading figure. My style aligns more with the premier roster. When I make that leap, I’ll synergize more seamlessly with those individuals than anyone in the NXT ever could. In fact, I believe that there’s a desire to see me on that critical front-line roster. Supposedly, they are clamoring for me to come up, but NXT holds me anchored. I’ve heard whispers: ‘Lexis King is in great demand on the main stage. He’s a superstar in the making.’”
His future roadmap for NXT: “However, I’m planning to do NXT a solid. I’ll hunker down here and elevate the new generation of performers. I’ll continue being the standout performance of this show until they can no longer resist the urge to cast me in SmackDown and Raw. They’ll want me so much that they’ll bring me on board eventually. Then, as expected, I’m going to rein supreme in SmackDown, and likewise in Raw. That’s just the way things go here. This system was built with Lexis King in mind.”
