During a recent guest appearance on the “WrestleBinge” podcast by SportsKeeda, noted wrestler Scott Steiner shared his views on who was responsible for the downfall of WCW. According to Steiner, the culprits were Brad Siegel and the executives at the top. He recalled how the company’s survival depended on Ted Turner due to his fondness for wrestling, and once he was ousted by AOL, the executives were free to run the show as per their desire.
The wrestling pro also mentioned the current situation of AEW, which is at the same station where WCW was at its low. Steiner maintained his stance that the station is not in a better position just because the old executives are no longer there.
In a separate podcast called “Off the Top” hosted by Rikishi, he spoke about Roman Reigns’ anticipated come back and how impactful it will be. Rikishi defended The Bloodline, the wrestling unit Reigns is part of, emphasizing how they have upheld professional wrestling and WWE in particular for nearly half a decade even without Reigns. He is convinced that when Reigns does make his return, it would be such a hit that WWE and TKO will need armored trucks to carry their earnings to the bank. He also hinted at the comeback of the Usos and a potential new entrant to The Bloodline, leaving it on a mysterious note.
