Famed wrestler Booker T recently expressed that he wouldn’t be shocked to witness former WWE star Jinder Mahal make a move to AEW. This conversation has been sparked due to Mahal’s recent feud with Tony Khan, the president of AEW, that was played out over the internet earlier this year.

Jinder Mahal’s remarks about match ratings, which Khan interpreted as a snub to his company, led to a chain of online outbursts from the AEW President against both WWE and Mahal.

The exchange of comments via tweets re-ignited interest towards Jinder Mahal, who later challenged the reigning World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins, but unfortunately came up short.

On a recent episode of his “Hall of Fame” podcast, Booker T entertained the idea of Mahal transitioning to AEW, particularly as he is now a free agent. According to Booker T,

“Jinder seems to be actively campaigning, possibly towards becoming part of the All Elite. He has made notable good comments towards Tony Khan, that’s a positive starting point, definitely. Moreover, Jinder Mahal possesses the talent to work anywhere he wants across the globe.

“They often bring up wrestlers shifting to Japan, Germany, Mexico, but nothing compares to working in the US. If Jinder can secure a job here, enabling him to remain close to home, I’m convinced he would prefer that far over the grinding international circuit.”

Presently, Mahal, now operating under the nom de guerre Raj Dhesi, has just completed his 90-day no-competitive clause and has recently made an appearance at the latest GCW event where he confronted EFFY.
