Speculation is rife regarding two exceptionally talented free agents possibly moving to WWE in the near future.
Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, who make up the Motor City Machine Guns, are rumored to be on their way to WWE following the completion of their TNA Wrestling contracts in March.
The Motor City Machine Guns, established in 2007, have earned accolades across a variety of promotions, including ROH and NJPW. In their time with TNA Wrestling, Shelley and Sabin have garnered the TNA World Title, the X-Division Title, and have triumphed in the TNA Tag Team Championships three times.
Even though there has been some speculation about the Motor City Machine Guns heading to AEW, they have continued to engage in independent bookings.
According to a recent report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the wrestling community chatter suggests, “Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley are expected to be coming here [WWE], or at least that’s the talk within wrestling. Nobody has officially said anything. Of late, the indications were WWE made the better offer but they were expected to be with whichever side made the best offer. Within wrestling the belief is that they are WWE-bound.”
Having recently said goodbye to the indie wrestling scene during a performance in Portland, the Motor City Machine Guns have an event scheduled for the upcoming month.
