Wrestling star Shane Haste made an appearance on the “WrestleMobs” podcast recently to spotlight his recent signing of a fresh contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), including a deep-dive into the distinctive differences between NJPW and WWE.
Below are a few key points discussed during the podcast:
Regarding confirmation of his latest contract with NJPW, Haste noted, “Indeed, considering other opportunities and everything that comes with it, I just don’t know. All I know is I cherish Japan. The way NJPW has treated me is incomparable. Seeing the treatment my friends were getting at other wrestling companies didn’t appear as attractive compared to the care and attention NJPW extends to me. The support they provide, the promising path TMDK is currently trodding on, it all made me question why I should even consider leaving.”
As to the major difference between NJPW and WWE, he stated, “The entire experience is so relaxed… We do our wrestling, then we hang out. Everyone’s down-to-earth. Nobody’s lurking around to snatch anybody’s position. The liberty and joy of it all… Everything falls into place more smoothly when you have your buddies to connect with.”
