In a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, professional wrestling tag team The Rascalz, composed of Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel, shared their insights about how the cross-pollination between TNA Wrestling and WWE has brought many benefits for them.
Recently, The Rascalz formed an alliance with Wes Lee on NXT. Together, they triumphed over Gallus in an episode of NXT TV that aired on Tuesday.
Zachary Wentz expressed his enthusiasm over this new development: “I think it’s fantastic. It unquestionably boosts the business. When you examine both the social media metrics and our fanbase, our two appearances on ‘NXT’ significantly increased my followers, TNA’s followers, and even our pay-per-view sales. The energy surrounding it is incredibly positive. It allows us to team up with fresh faces and wrestle in new places, offering different vantage points not previously experienced by some wrestlers.”
Trey Miguel agreed, highlighting a shift in perception about TNA: “Absolutely, 100%. There used to be this impression that TNA is where WWE stars wind up once their careers are on the decline. However, this recent crossover is starting to change that perspective. Now, it’s clear that TNA can be not only a destination, but also a starting point – it’s not where careers end, but where they can be launched.”
