In a recent episode of Eric Bischoff’s podcast “Wise Choices”, Crowbar, the ex-WCW/ECW star, shared insights about his career and professional wrestling.
Here are some key takeaways from the discussion:
Regarding his top match, he remarked, “Sadly, it wasn’t in WCW. After WCW, I had two exhilarating matches that mark my career. Wrestling Eddie Guerrero at the popular New York Elks Lodge right after his brief exit from WWE was one. It was a thrilling 20-minute match with Eddie, myself, and my wife and can be viewed on YouTube. The second match that stands out for me happened in World Wrestling All Stars, where I had a cage match with Sabu. This unforgettable bout also included me jumping off the cage’s top through tables and it’s also available on YouTube. And in WCW, I cherished my matches with Vampiro. However, as a fan, at the last Starrcade, which is WCW’s version of WrestleMania, I fought against my idol, Terry Funk. This unforgettable bout was for the Hardcore belt.”
He also shed light on his experience in ECW. “After my initial time with you, I moved to ECW when I wasn’t being utilized much. Despite having some rough times like having my book stolen, being sidelined, and my video game console kicked across the room, the significant learning experience during this phase made me more determined and molded me for life. It was a challenging time that made me question my passion for wrestling but chose not to give up. It improved my skills as a wrestler and led me to grow stronger as a person. And now, I am thankful for the experience”, said Crowbar.
