Wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famers, Ric Flair, felt the need to offer some clarifications on his recent statements about fellow wrestler, John Cena on the “Busted Open Radio” podcast. His words have surfaced in the form of recent tweets.
Flair’s statements on the podcast were related to the probability of Cena possibly setting a new record for the highest number of victories as WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Presently, both Cena and Flair share the record, with each having 16 wins to their credit.
Turning to Twitter to put an end to the lingering speculations, Flair stated, “There Has Been Way Too Much Attention Brought To This. Let’s Just Set The Record Straight For The Final Time. My First Choice Would Obviously Be The Queen @MsCharlotteWWE. I Think The World Of My Friend @JohnCena, Who Is An Incredible Athlete & Genuine Person! I Will Be The First Person To Shake His Hand & Congratulate Him If He Breaks My Record As I Would For Anybody Who Would Break It. When That Day Comes, It Will Be An Honor! WOOOOO!”
