Former wrestling star 2 Cold Scorpio, real name Charles Scaggs, who appeared in WCW, ECW, and WWE, has been arrested on charges of first-degree assault and armed criminal action relating to a reported stabbing incident last month.
Scaggs told the authorities that he was working as a security guard at the time of the incident. He explained that a man was smoking indoors, which led to an approach from Scorpio that escalated to a tension-filled argument outside. Scorpio alleges that he pulled out a knife in self-defense during the confrontation.
The other man involved, discovered on the ground with multiple injuries, pointed the finger at Scorpio for initiating the fight. Consequently, Scorpio was arrested and has since plead not guilty after being released on bond.
His partner, Shirley Black, asserts that Scorpio is innocent and has started a GoFundMe initiative to cover his legal costs. Black alleges that it was the other man who introduced the knife into the brawl, resulting in injuries to both men.
The GoFundMe campaign is striving to reach a total of ,000 and has raised 0 to date.
Black shared an insight on the GoFundMe page, stating: “My name is Shirley Black, I’m more commonly recognized as Too Cold Scorpio’s partner. Most wrestling fans across the globe know him for his incredible talent and quintessential performances that he has provided throughout the years. Today, we seek your support and generosity. Charles Scaggs, as many of you know, is a true gentleman outside the ring. A selfless, loyal man of integrity. As his wrestling career plateaued, he ventured into the field of security to continue earning. However, an altercation at work where he was performing his duties as an armed security officer has put us in a challenging position… We are desperately appealing to his fans, friends, and family for assistance. Contributions in any amount are crucial for proving Scorpio’s innocence and ensuring he gets the healthcare he requires.”
