During a recent episode of the “Major Wrestling Figure Podcast,” Matt Cardona offered his thoughts on his spouse, Chelsea Green’s inclusion in the 2024 WWE Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match.
Sharing his experience of attending the pay-per-view event, Cardona described Green’s applauded performance, saying: “I was at Money in the Bank to witness Chelsea Green’s performance. Even though she didn’t win, she sure made an impression. She had some intense moments in the ring and impressed with her place in the spotlight. Against my natural instincts, Chelsea urged me backstage after the match to take a picture with her and her mom. Thanks to John Cone, a friend of ours, we managed to sneak away for a quick snapshot.”
He also noted his aversion for hanging around backstage during a show in which he’s not featured: “Personally, I find being backstage at a show without having a role, quite pointless and nauseating to an extent. Instead, I had secured a private suite for myself and Green’s mother, which was delightful.”
In regards to Green’s performance, Cardona expressed his pride: “Being backstage had its cool moments, but it was predominantly about Chelsea’s performance and how she shined throughout the night. I am incredibly proud of her and from the reactions, the fans appreciated her performance as much as I did.”
