In a recent episode of “The Masked Man” podcast, former NXT titleholder, Bron Breakker, dissected the contrasting aspects of NFL training routines and the drills at the WWE Performance Center. Breakker elaborated on his own history in football in relation to pro wrestling.

Refer to some key moments from the podcast discussed below:

In response to the comparison between NFL training and pro wrestling, Breakker commented, “I believe there are numerous parallels and lessons to be learnt from both domains. It follows an almost identical day-to-day regimen. Particularly during my time in college, it was a routine of waking up, lifting weights, moving on to practice, following up with a film study later. This was the typical schedule at Kennesaw State University where I studied, and this is more or less the same drill at the Performance Center too.”

Speaking on how his experience in amateur sports has benefitted him in wrestling, he reflected, “I have harnessed a great amount of body control and such, and I think that’s something an amateur wrestler inherently possesses. Pro wrestling isn’t easy, it demands a lot physically. … Football has its physical demands, but it’s distinguishable in its own way, right?”
