In a post-WWE departure scenario in 2014, there was a tangible tension between The Miz and CM Punk. However, The Miz recently indicated that they managed to iron things out after Punk unexpectedly appeared at a WWE RAW TV recording.
During his participation in “Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez” podcast, The Miz validated a previous chatter about the pair resolving their differences when Punk made a surprise appearance at a WWE RAW recording in Chicago, Illinois, in April of 2023. The Miz shared,
“Yes, we were in Chicago, and as I descended the stairs, he was there. We just stared at each other. Keep in mind, he had left a while ago and never returned, didn’t he? It always seemed like an impossibility.”
He went on to add, “Seeing him backstage was a shocker. We ended up engaging in a meaningful conversation. It felt like a moment where it was just guys talking, and we managed to settle our differences, I presume.”
