In the inaugural episode of his podcast “What Do You Wanna Talk About?”, accomplished wrestler Cody Rhodes recalls his bout with Candice LeRae from the independent circuit.
Here are some notable statements from his podcast:
Discussing this memorable match with Candice LeRae, Cody Rhodes recalled with humor, “So once upon a time, she had me on the receiving end of a suplex on the indie scene, and I always joke about it now that the most formidable people I’ve ever encountered in the ring would be, firstly, Brock Lesnar and shockingly, Candice as well. She tossed me as if I was soaring through the ceiling.”
Reflecting on his encounters with LeRae in the independent circuit, Rhodes reminisced, “I used to frequent the indie matches at the institution where I honed my wrestling skills. Candice was scheduled to combat Gail Kim, and I used to admire her from a distance, she, a fellow indie wrestler from SoCal while I was in NorCal. On rare occasions, we were put together as a tag team, and interestingly against each other once too. If given the opportunity, I would relish the idea of being pitted against her once more.”
For some visual treat, here’s Cody Rhodes discussing the state of women’s wrestling with Bayley in his podcast episode titled “What Do You Wanna Talk About?”
