The impending Summer Olympic Games will significantly impact WWE’s regular shows, such as Monday Night RAW and NXT, in the next month.
Every four years, RAW usually faces this situation, although it’s anticipated to see a change in 2025 when the show transitions to Netflix. Meanwhile, NXT is expected to shift its airings to The CW in the coming fall season. This reshuffling comes as the Olympic Games garnered major broadcasting slots across NBCUniversal networks, the USA Network included.
According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE’s flagship shows, RAW and NXT, are set to be temporarily moved to the SYFY channel during the Olympics period. Specifically, the four shows affected will include RAW on 7/29 and 8/6, and NXT on 7/30 and 8/7.
