All Elite Wrestling’s (AEW) Serena Deeb is looking beyond her prospective contenders in AEW, casting her eye on women wrestlers from other arenas as well.

Recently, WWE has grown receptive to collaborative alliances with other wrestling organizations such as TNA Wrestling, Pro Wrestling NOAH, Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport, and Marigold.

In a new episode of the “Gabby AF” podcast, Deeb expressed her thoughts on the evolving wrestling industry and her potential opponents outside of AEW. She commented,

“The wrestling industry was traditionally quite rigid, limiting cross-over competitions. Now, those boundaries are becoming more flexible. Jordynne [Grace] has crossed my mind; her match at the recent NXT pay-per-view stood out. She’s truly one competitor I’d want to face. However, Rhea Ripley is undeniably my top pick.

“During our time at the Performance Center, we formed a unique bond. In my view, among all the coaches, Scotty 2 Hotty and I had a special connection with her. Having given constant encouragement and backing to her, I could always see her sparkling potential. Seeing what she has achieved, it’s evident she’s destined for stardom.”

Ripley, who is currently recovering from an injury, was present backstage at the AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door event, a moment that Deeb reminisced about during the interview. She stated,

“I was taken aback when I saw her there. We shared a warm embrace and remained in that moment for an extended period. The emotion was overwhelming; I expressed to her how proud I was of her hard-earned success. I consider her to be the most prominent star in women’s wrestling.”
