Tommy Dreamer, an esteemed figure within the WWE community, recently voiced admiration for Lola Vice’s heartfelt performance on the latest episode of WWE NXT.
The emotionally charged promo from Vice showcased her personal journey, discussing her mother’s illness forcing her to give up Olympic training to focus on Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), eventually leading to her successful professional wrestling career. Vice expressed her anticipation for her mother’s support on Sunday at WWE NXT: Heatwave, where she is set to compete against Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship.
In his recent appearance on Busted Open Radio’s podcast, Dreamer commended Vice’s promo. He noted,
“The promo was captivating. A tough woman opened her heart, talking about her mother’s illness. I mistakenly thought her mother had passed away. When she mentioned waiting to inform her mother that she had finally succeeded, it really hit home. Credit also goes to Roxanne Perez’s interaction, who reminded Vice that she would never receive that phone call. That was truly a poignant segment from Perez.”
He added that “Her ability to be open and vulnerable with the audience by sharing something so personal is not an easy feat.”
Elsewhere, prior to the 2024 WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view event, Sami Zayn spoke with the Toronto Sun to give a preview of his match with Bron Breakker.
The current WWE Intercontinental Champion complimented Breakker, pointing out that he is unlike any recent opponents. Zayn mentioned,
“Bron Breakker has indeed carved a niche for himself in his short career. He brings an insane level of athleticism and fervor that I haven’t seen in many newcomers. On the other hand, I have created a modest reputation as an unyielding performer in the ring.”
Zayn added, “Our match up is compelling, showcasing his speed and strength against my tenacity and the ability to endure. It promises to be an exciting contest, particularly for the audience in Toronto.”
