As the former WWE Superstar, Donovan Dijak had an impactful career within NXT. Despite this, his shift to the main roster in the course of the WWE Draft 2024 wasn’t as successful as anticipated. Post his exit from WWE, the wrestling pro of 37 years is officially without contract commitments.
Previously, Dijak confirmed on record that WWE chose not to engage with him regarding contract renewal and informed him at the last minute about the lapse of his contract on June 28.
In recent news, Beyond Wrestling has announced Dijak’s comeback to their platform after a gap of seven years. He is poised to square off against Aaron Stevens (formerly known as Damien Sandow), at the much-anticipated Americanrana event at White Eagle, Worcester.
Cashing on the newsflash, Dijak took it upon himself to lay claim to the noted “American Nightmare” tag, the current reigning signature of Undisputed WWE Universal Champion and the face of WWE, Cody Rhodes.
To quote Dijak: “Look at me, look at me @CodyRhodes I’m the American Nightmare now.”
Dijak, now a free agent, has been proactively involved in the wrestling scene. His latest appearance was his debut at the Blitzkrieg Pro event, and he was also spotted backstage at AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door 2024 the previous weekend.
