The Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently released updated statistics on ticket sales for upcoming wrestling events hosted by AEW. Notably, the AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door 2024 pay-per-view event taking place this Sunday has already sold 9,738 tickets.
In a media call earlier, Tony Khan, the President of AEW, made a prediction that the AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door 2024 event would reach sales of more than 10,000 tickets, resulting in a live gate of around million.
Should this estimation come true, it would mark the third consecutive Forbidden Door event to rack up over a million dollars in live gate. In fact, AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door 2024 may end up having the highest gate of this year, surpassing AEW Revolution 2024 (,025,000).
On the other hand, the Dynamite event scheduled for July 3 in Chicago has seen 2,758 tickets sold. The Collision event in Southaven, MS slated for July 6 has sold 2,581 tickets.
Other upcoming events include Dynamite in Calgary on July 10 with 3,003 tickets sold, Dynamite in North Little Rock, AR on July 17 with 1,580 tickets sold, and Collision in Arlington, TX on July 20 with 623 tickets sold.
Furthermore, the Dynamite event in Nashville, featuring Blood & Guts, scheduled for July 24 has sold 2,546 tickets. The ROH Death Before Dishonor event in Arlington on July 26 has seen 665 tickets sold so far.
There are several more upcoming events with tickets already out for sale including Dynamite in Greenville, SC on July 31 (1,344 tickets), and Dynamite in Winston-Salem, NC on August 7 (1,209 tickets).
Finally, the AEW All In 2024 event scheduled at the Wembley Stadium on August 25 is leading in ticket sales with a whopping 41,415 tickets sold to date.
