The All Elite Wrestling organization (AEW) has had a fruitful collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery, and at the moment, negotiations for a fresh deal are underway.

Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) is keen on securing a sports franchise after losing the NBA to TNT, and has AEW on its radar for this venture. A key issue currently on the table is whether an agreement can be arrived at.

AEW’s President, Tony Khan, during a recent guest spot on “WGN Radio”, praised the alliance and expressed his optimism regarding its future continuity.

Khan was explicit in mentioning that the ongoing discussions with Warner Bros. Discovery are promising. He quoted,

“I cherish the relationship I have with TBS and TNT. AEW runs five-hour shows every Wednesday on TBS, and Friday and Saturday on TNT. We’re engaged in productive dialogues with Warner Bros. Discovery. My conversation with them yesterday was especially enlightening. I’m incredibly fortunate to collaborate with such phenomenal individuals, and as someone who has a deep affection for wrestling, the fact that we have revived wrestling on TBS and TNT means the world to me. Knowing how many of our listeners have nostalgic ties to wrestling on these channels, and the fact that for the younger audience, there’s been a near 20-year hiatus from wrestling on TBS and TNT; these factors played a significant role in the inception of AEW. We are committed to delivering All Elite Wrestling every week, on Wednesdays via TBS and over the weekends through TNT.”

In the wake of AEW Dynamite’s debut in October 2019, AEW programming has graced the screens of Warner Bros. Discovery channels. Khan has consistently underscored the importance of reviving wrestling on TBS and TNT since the close of WCW in 2001.
