Brian Cage has expressed his appreciation for finally having had the opportunity to compete against Will Ospreay, declaring the experience as one he’s eagerly awaited.
Cage and Ospreay locked horns on the June 22nd episode of AEW Collision, fighting a rigorous battle which eventually saw the AEW International Champion claim victory.
Cage revealed via his Twitter account that the accolades he’s been receiving for the match assure him that this is exactly why he chose to join AEW.
In a tweet, Cage wrote, “I signed with @aew over 4 years ago in pursuit of the best matches and best wrestlers imaginable. Regardless of your opinion of me, I put myself in that category, and I’ve been waiting to show it. There’s been moments of brilliance, but not until just recently has my abilities been on full display.”
The next significant fixture for Ospreay is set to be at AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door, where he will vie for the AEW World Championship title currently held by Swerve Strickland.
