On Tuesday, Pro Wrestler Jordynne Grace sparked a short-lived Twitter feud with Taz, a fellow Wrestler, when she used his much-guarded catchphrase in a workout photo caption.

Grace captioned her workout picture with, “Beat me if you can. Survive if I let you,” a line synonymous with Taz. The Wrestler, known to defend his trademarked phrase fiercely, saw Grace’s post and retorted with, “Swing and a miss! #trademarked”.

Grace shot back, stating, “Not being able to quote legends that I’ve emulated for years wasn’t in my pro wrestling handbook, but duly noted.”

Taz later made a video declaring that even though he hasn’t met Grace personally, he admires her work. He claimed his retort stemmed from the fact that he was not tagged in her post, thus unaware that she was honoring him with the phrase. He ended the video on a light note, suggesting they will probably laugh about the incident when they meet in person.

Grace responded to Taz’s video, tweeting, “All good!! I was mostly surprised. I don’t tag because I don’t ever want to seem like a boot licker, but I got you next time.Watching an old match of you vs Bigelow and wrestling at the ECW arena this weekend inspired the tweet, 100% an homage! We got the same body type.”

It looks like their Twitter feud eventually simmered down, ending on a positive note.
