In a recent episode of the “Grilling JR” podcast, host Jim Ross paid tribute to the life and journey of the late AEW wrestling star, Brodie Lee. Ross reflected,
“What a remarkable individual he was. AEW became his second home, and it’s deeply unfortunate that he fell ill before he could fully bask in the glow of his success. He was an exceptional talent!”
“Luke Harper, as he was known before, was always a standout to me, and his transition to AEW filled me with excitement, as I was well aware of the talent he possessed”, he further added.
Sadly, Lee left us in the final month of 2020. His wife Amanda maintains a working relationship with AEW and their son Brodie Jr. makes occasional appearances for the promotion.
Lee entered AEW in 2020, parting ways with WWE the year before. He conquered the pedestal of being the second TNT Champion after wrestling the title away from Cody Rhodes.
In addition to that, Brodie Lee assumed the mantle of the leader of The Dark Order. Despite his untimely demise, the group chose to persevere without choosing a new leader.
