Cody Rhodes, the reigning WWE Universal Champion, was set up to face off against Solo Sikoa by WWE. This followed Rhodes’ victory over AJ Styles in an ‘I Quit’ match during the WWE Clash At The Castle 2024 pay-per-view event. After Rhodes’ successful match, Solo Sikoa appeared, sneakily approaching Rhodes, resulting in an altercation. Subsequently, The Bloodline sided with Solo and attacked Rhodes, prompting Randy Orton and Kevin Owens to quickly step in for his defense.
According to the revelations made by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the showdown between Rhodes and Solo is predicted to be a key highlight of the WWE SummerSlam 2024 event.
In a recent visit to Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer validated that the Rhodes vs. Solo match is being planned to be the main attraction of the grand event.
