Kayla Braxton, a WWE personality since 2016, has announced her departure from the company. Throughout her stint in WWE, she had been a ring announcer, backstage interviewer, and the co-host of The Bump and Talking Smack shows.
Braxton shared the news of her leaving through Twitter with the following statement:
“For the past eight years, I’ve held the microphone on WWE television but now it’s time to hang it up and embark on my next adventure. My official goodbye will be next week at the most renowned arena worldwide. Providing back-stage interviews during my tenure with WWE, I always strived to turn brief instants into lasting memories for our fan not only weekly viewers but hopefully attracting new fans as well. My humorous exchanges with Paul Heyman have become just as iconic, and I owe him a world of thanks for enhancing my career. I cherished the wisdom I gained from him, and I’m forever touched by it. In 2016, the iconic Michael Cole trailblazed my WWE career by pulling me on board NXT as a ring announcer, I swiftly found myself globetrotting, hosting hall of fame ceremonies, pre-shows, and being a key contributor in launching WWE’s first-ever weekly morning show, ‘The Bump’.”
“Leaving ‘The Bump’ after more than 200 episodes, I made a shift to Los Angeles. Now on the West Coast, I’ve been presented with fresh opportunities that will allow me to utilize the skills I developed while working for the world’s foremost sports entertainment company. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Triple H, Nick Khan, WWE, and all its partners for granting me a trustworthy platform on WWE television throughout these years. My utmost respect to everybody who made me feel welcome and included me as a part of this kinship. I am grateful for the chance you took on me and for embracing an outsider like me. I hope I have made you proud. As I embark on this new journey, I hope you’ll stay with me. Can’t wait to reveal what’s coming next!!!!”
On Twitter, Braxton concluded her farewell message with an emotive sign-off:
