Professional wrestler Eric Young from TNA Wrestling is optimistic about the promising relationship that the promotion has established with WWE. He believes that this collaboration could lead to bigger opportunities for both organizations.

In 2024, an interesting association lit up between WWE and TNA, with renowned athletes such as Jordynne Grace, Frankie Kazarian, and Joe Hendry making appearances for WWE’s NXT. It was a two-way street, with NXT’s Tatum Paxley taking part in TNA’s Against All Odds event. However, Paxley’s challenge to Grace for the TNA Knockouts World Championship was unsuccessful.

Eric Young voiced his optimism about this budding synergy during a discussion with Jim Varsallone from the Miami Herald. His exact words were,

“It’s a fantastic development for the universe of professional wrestling. I don’t see why different firms cannot synergistically function for collective gain. We are witnessing the embryonic stages of this collaboration, and it is only the precursor to much more to come. Needless to say, WWE, with their long-standing history, are the ones at the helm. But I have a good rapport with Hunter [Triple H], and we occasionally engage in casual conversations. I have utmost respect for him and you can certainly see the positive transformation in the product when he is at the helm.”

“And associating with AJ [Styles] in our venture to Japan for [NOAH], and the agreement between TNA and NXT, all point towards bigger things in the works. There’s no reason why it shouldn’t. I don’t really have a say in it, but I am quite supportive of this move and have been in the know about this long before it came into fruition. The real beneficiaries of this alliance are the fans of professional wrestling, making it all the more significant.”

On Eric Young’s journey in WWE, he was with the organization from 2016 to 2020, and briefly returned in 2022 although he did not end up appearing on television.

Post his WWE stint, Young found his way back to TNA. He has previously cited issues with Vince McMahon as one of the reasons for his departure from WWE.
