Major League Wrestling (MLW) has made the announcement of an Opera Cup Match for its forthcoming event, ‘MLW Blood & Thunder’ 2024. The event is scheduled to happen at the Coliseum in Tampa-St. Petersburg, FL, on the date of Friday, July 12th.

Tom Lawlor and Jake Crist are to face off in the Opera Cup R1 match in Petersburg on July 12
“Filthy” Tom Lawlor Jr. vs. Jake Crist has been announced by Major League Wrestling (MLW) as the first round face-off in the Opera Cup for its event, MLW Blood & Thunder’24, hosted at the Coliseum in St. Petersburg, FL on the day of Friday, July 12th.

This first round promises an exciting match-up. Tom Lawlor, known for his submission and grappling skills which incorporate MMA techniques with strong style wrestling, will face off against Jake Crist, known for high-risk moves that offer big rewards, and a fighting style that incorporates brawling and technical finesse.
Lawlor, the 2020 Opera Cup champion and former MLW World Heavyweight and ex-MLW World Tag Team Champion, is expected to gain more advantage with Saint Laurent at his corner during his first round match against Jake Crist who will make his first appearance in the Opera Cup. Crist, new to MLW, has already displayed significant potential in his fights. Strong performance in the Opera Cup could further enhance Crist’s reputation and open possibilities for future potential title fights.
Lawlor enters the match with heightened determination risen from his recent disagreement with Paul Walter Hauser in Battle RIOT VI, and coupled with Saint Laurent’s ambitions of winning his second consecutive antique Opera Cup trophy.
