WWE/TNA Hall of Famer, Bully Ray, has expressed his anticipation to witness more of Joe Hendry following his unexpected participation in the recent episode of WWE NXT.
In the inaugural battle royal of the show, Hendry managed to be the crowd’s favorite, also getting a chance to address the audience. However, Hendry was the first contender removed from the match.
Bully Ray expressed in the much-known “Busted Open Radio” podcast, his positivity regarding Joe Hendry’s further prospects in NXT. He stated,
“Joe Hendry crossed paths with Shawn Michaels. When Joe walked away and said ‘you haven’t heard the last of me,’ Shawn says ‘I believe.’ So if that’s all we got from Joe Hendry, at least he got the big musical entrance. They spotlighted him. But the last thing we saw on social [media] is Joe and Shawn. So just that alone makes me believe that they can do more with Joe Hendy and NXT down the line.”
NXT officials have reportedly expressed their satisfaction regarding Hendry’s performance in the match and anticipate his future appearances with the brand.
Furthermore, TNA officials expressed their pleasure that the storyline involving Hendry and Frankie Kazarian (also a part of TNA Wrestling) was featured in the NXT’s inaugural battle royal.
Joe Hendry later posted on Twitter, where he seemed hopeful for more to come. He said, “hopefully, there will be more in time, Bully.”
