Vince Russo, during their tenure together in the Attitude Era of WCW, observed WWE Legend Randy Savage as a “psychopathic, jealous, lunatic”. Savage had gained notoriety over the years for his controlling demeanor toward his manager and actual life partner, Miss Elizabeth, a subject discussed by several other wrestlers.
In the latest episode of his podcast, “Writing With Russo”, Vince Russo delved into the reputation Savage had. He expressed, “You know bro, we didn’t have social media back then. But you knew, you always somehow… you heard how Savage was always jealous in real life. There was reality. There was definitely a reality that this guy was a psychopathic, jealous, lunatic. There was [a] reality to that, you know.”
Randy Savage and Elizabeth Hulette, known as Miss Elizabeth, were married in 1984. Although the pair’s wedding was not portrayed on-screen until SummerSlam in 1991, they officially separated in 1992. In May 2003, Elizabeth sadly passed away due to a drug overdose. Savage would also pass away eight years later, in May 2011, due to a heart attack.
