PAC & Kris Statlander Progress in the Owen Hart Cup Tournament as Tournament Ladder is Unveiled.

The Owen Hart Foundation Cup 2024 began with a bang on the most recent episode of AEW Dynamite, setting the stage for both the men’s and women’s tournaments with the inaugural matches and an unveiling of the full brackets.

The women’s tournament launched with the following round one matches:

  • Willow Nightingale going head-to-head with Serena Deeb
  • An already decided match between Kris Statlander and Nyla Rose
  • Deonna Purrazzo versus Hikaru Shida
  • Mariah May up against Saraya

Kris Statlander triumphed over Nyla Rose, paving her way to the semifinals, where she’s set to encounter the winner of the Nightingale-Deeb clash. Speculations are rife that Nightingale would emerge victorious over Deeb, setting the stage for a former friends showdown in view of the emotional promo Nightingale cut about targeting Statlander post their friendship’s fallout.

In the men’s tournament, Claudio Castagnoli’s journey was cut short by none other than PAC, who succeeded in getting a quick three-count after a flurry of pinfall attempts.

The spotlight is now on PAC, who awaits the winner of the Bryan Danielson vs. Shingo Takagi clash, scheduled at AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door.

The upcoming matches determining the right side of the bracket include:

  • A ferocious battle between Rey Fenix and Jay White
  • Jeff Jarrett’s fight with an unannounced wildcard

Please note, the grand finale of this much-awaited tournament is slated for July 10, 2024, at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
