In a recent interaction with Iridian Fierro from Fightful on WGN Radio, AEW wrestler Sky Blue expressed her deep desire to compete in a women’s match dedicated to the event dubbed “Blood & Guts” in the AEW.
Emotionally moved by the prospect, she admitted that entering such a match would bring her to tears. Blue’s statement is expressed as follows,
“I am enamored of Blood & Guts. It’s indeed my most-liked Dynamite show experience,” she conveyed. “During the recent games, although I was present for work, there was no requirement for me to participate in the wrestling. Hence, I decided to utilize my time to watch the match. I found this cozy spot just behind the camera area where I propped myself and engaged in the games. A few friends, drivers, and production staff joined me. Watching them, an intense longing filled me, a longing to be inside the cage.”
Despite these strong feelings, she lightheartedly shares how others would discourage her enthusiasm, “All around me, people would plead, ‘Skye, hold back your zeal. Please, sit down.’ However, I persisted, ‘No, everyone. I truly feel this could be spectacular.’ The thought of being the inaugural woman to compete in a Blood & Guts match turns me emotional enough to cry.”
