Professional wrestler Dax Harwood, part of FTR, recently guested on the podcast “Power Alphas” and openly communicated about his initial concerns of choosing wrestling over his family when he first became part of the WWE’s NXT roster. Below are some of the impactful points he made during the conversation.

Speaking about his undying dedication for wrestling and worries of it consuming his life, Harwood expressed, “The love and the passion and the respect I have for wrestling was a double-edged sword for me coming up in NXT because…I felt that everyone had to love it and had to immerse themselves and much as I did. Reflecting back on about 10 to 12 years ago, I think I was immersing myself too much into wrestling, to the point of letting it govern my entire life.”

Touching upon how he often prioritized wrestling over his family, Harwood shared, “I feel like sometime I was elevating wrestling above her and God. This was not only unfair to me and her, but also unjust to my fellow wrestlers and even my trainers.”
