During a recent conversation with Sports Illustrated, AJ Styles fervently spoke about his impending return to Japan, as he is slated to participate in Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Destination 2024 event. He is set to square off with former GHC Heavyweight Champion Naomichi Marufuji. Let’s delve into some of the highlights of the interview:
AJ Styles, reflecting on his previous stint in Japan, enthused, “Looking back at my time in Japan, I was wrestling with some of the finest talents within the company’s domain, and I had the pleasure of daily interaction with some of my best friends. I mean, seriously, that was nothing short of incredible.”
In a humorous recount of dealing with jet lag during a dinner with a sponsor, AJ Styles commented, “Jet lag is an undeniable truth. Upon my arrival, I felt its impacting lethargy. A sponsor arranged a dinner, but due to immense exhaustion, I was incapable of maintaining open eyes. Initially, it felt impolite, I am willing to concede to that. However, jet lag was not to be denied. It then turned into a recurring humour. I’d finish my meal, and promptly doze off at the dinner table.”
