The newly reformed Wyatt Family, referred to as The Wyatt Sicks (rebranded as “Wyatt Sick6”), officially made their television comeback after a lengthy period of intriguing QR codes and mysterious messages signaling their return.
On WWE RAW aired on June 17, 2024, as Jey Uso secured his spot in this year’s Money in the Bank ladder match, the arena lights dimmed and an ominous tone echo through the crowd.
When light returned, Nikki Cross, appearing more demonic and terrifying than ever, began portraying Sister Abigail and signaled for the cameraman to venture backstage.
The Gorilla Position was devastated, with unconscious bodies scattered around, some marked with gore. Chad Gable and Braun Strowman were amongst the victims, indicating a potential change in next week’s advertised Triple Threat qualifier, where they were to face Bronson Reed. (Note: Reed’s condition was not clear as his whereabouts could not be confirmed.)
In a subsequent update, JD McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio seem to have been counted amongst the victims of the attack.
Many other facets of this shocking event are still being examined. However, some particular instances attracted the audiences’ attention.
Erick Rowan was seen wearing a mask inspired by Rambling Rabbit, whilst also holding onto a sledgehammer, reminiscent of his stint with the Bludgeon Brothers.
Mercy the Buzzard seemed to be channelling Dexter Lumis, as Lumis stood towering over some of the fallen bodies backstage.
Joe Gacy was spotted in a pig-like gas mask, morphing into Huskus The Pig Boy and evoking memories of the iconic villain Professor Pyg from the Batman universe.
The pillaging was masterminded by Uncle Howdy who made his way to the ramp to join Cross, ending the show ominously by blowing out a lantern and announcing “We’re here.”
So, what could this surprising turn of events possibly mean for the future of RAW and WWE as a whole? Was this a systematic attack with the intent of removing specific superstars or an uncontrolled havoc-creating rampage?
