Professional wrestler Sabu recently joined the “Conversations with The Wrestling Classic” podcast to talk about a diverse range of topics. One discussion point that stood out was his long-standing desire to have a match with Finn Balor.
Find some notable points from the podcast below:
Discussing Finn Balor, Sabu revealed: “Finn Balor has forever been an intriguing rival for me. I’ve always wanted to go head-to-head with him in the ring, even before he adopted the name Finn Balor. When he finally did, the desire only intensified. I once told him, ‘Hey, mate. We should meet in-ring someday,’ to which he agreed, ‘Absolutely.’ Unfortunately, it has yet to materialize due to an injury I suffered.”
As for his perception of Balor’s utilization in WWE, Sabu remarked, “WWE personnel these days are more like stunt doubles and performers, rather than actual wrestlers. They’ve taken someone like Balor – a true wrestler, and pushed him into the role of an entertainer and stuntman. I don’t hold it against him though. At the end of the die, he’s receiving a paycheck.”
