In a recent report from Fightful Select, new information has been shared on the progress regarding The Hardy Boys.
Jeff Hardy, one part of the emblematic wrestling duo The Hardy Boys, made his comeback to TNA Wrestling at the event Against Odds 2024 last Friday. This reunion with his brother, Matt Hardy, materialized following the expiration of Jeff’s AEW contract on June 14, at midnight, which in turn stirred his return to TNA Wrestling.
As for the moment, both Matt and Jeff are operating in TNA free of any contracts. Prior to June 14, there was strong conjecture concerning Jeff’s forthcoming arrival in TNA, yet official confirmation had been notably absent.
Matt’s preliminary deal with TNA was, according to inside sources, of short duration. However, amendments have been added to include supplementary dates and tentative plans.
Furthermore, the report reveals that discussions are in progress about the prospect of Reby Hardy entering into a match, notwithstanding that this remains an unconfirmed detail. Reby last stepped into the TNA ring in 2016.
Internal sources within TNA have applauded the post-event dialogue delivered by The Hardys, Nic Nemeth, and Joe Hendry at the Against All Odds 2024 event.
While news regarding the state of dialogue between The Hardys and AEW remains scarce, it does not rule out the possibility of some form of cooperation between both parties in the coming future.
Jeff’s last appearance under the AEW banner was in a No DQ match against Sammy Guevara on Rampage, which took place in February.
