In the follow-up press session of WWE Clash At The Castle: Scotland which took place on Saturday, CM Punk shared more details regarding his triceps injury which has kept him off the ring since the 2024 Royal Rumble event in January.
Punk disclosed that he will not be present in Monday’s episode of RAW. It appears he’s off to meet with his medical team with the possibility of obtaining medical clearance.
The wrestler, also known as Second City Saint, voiced his plans to appear on next week’s SmackDown episode, which happens to be in his birth city of Chicago, IL.
Punk relayed, “I’ve been cleared, only for referee duty. I had a little bit of a hiccup out there. We’ll go back to the lab and reassess. I can tell you that my arm feels amazing. I got permission to skip Raw in Corpus Christi to go home to Chicago to see my doctors with the idea that I’m going to be cleared. I think SmackDown is in Chicago next week. I’m a Raw guy, but I’m going to skip Raw, get cleared, and show up to SmackDown and let everybody know the good news. Hopefully.”
In the main event of WWE Clash At The Castle: Scotland, Punk played a vital role where he tricked Drew McIntyre, consequently leading to Damian Priest retaining the World Heavyweight Championship.
Following the event, a post-show video, entitled “Clash at the Castle: Scotland Post Show: June 15, 2024” was shared, which viewers can find accessible on YouTube.
