Shawn Michaels, who holds the position of Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative at WWE, is expressing satisfaction with his role in operating NXT behind the scenes.
Michaels’ association with NXT dates back to 2016. When Paul “Triple H” Levesque had to step down temporarily due to heart-related health issues in September 2021, the task of running the NXT shows fell upon Michaels.
During a recent interview with Sportsnet, the question of how much he is enjoying his current executive role came up. Michaels’ response was,
“I’m having a great deal of fun. Obviously, some of it is the youth of the NXT locker room. Other than that, the social team seems to be having a lot of fun with me.”
Embedded below is a video where Michaels discusses the state of NXT and his return to WWE.
