The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has recently disclosed the most recent ticket sales figures for several imminent WWE events including the highly-anticipated Clash at the Castle pay-per-view event in Scotland that is set to happen tomorrow.
In an attempt to break the sales record set in Backlash: France, noted for the highest arena gate in wrestling history with revenue of .2 million, WWE is pushing the pricing for the Clash at the Castle: Scotland event. The ticket’s initial price was the highest in wrestling history for any event, excluding WrestleMania, standing at 9. However, it was reduced to 6, still making it the highest entrance price in WWE’s history. Presently, there are 10,512 tickets sold for an arena with a capacity of 11,119.
Similarly, on June 17, WWE RAW is set to be held in Corpus Christi, TX. So far, 7,575 tickets have been sold and it is expected to sell out too. WWE SmackDown is expected to take place in Chicago, IL on June 21, with currently 12,427 tickets already sold. The figures for a WWE live event in Bloomington, IL on June 22 and Kalamazoo, MI on June 2 stand at 3,448 and 3,439 tickets sold respectively.
Other WWE events have also sold significant numbers of tickets. For instance, 8,902 tickets have been sold for the WWE RAW in Indianapolis, IN on June 24. For WWE SmackDown at Madison Square Garden in New York City, scheduled for June 28, 14,159 tickets have already been sold, and it looks on track for a sell-out.
In line with this, various WWE events in July have also had robust sales. The WWE RAW in Boston, MA on July 1 has sold 8,497 tickets; WWE SmackDown in Toronto, Canada on July 5 has sold 15,017 tickets; The WWE Money in the Bank event in Toronto, Canada has almost sold out, with 16,572 tickets sold; WWE NXT Heatwave in Toronto, Canada has sold 8,000 tickets; WWE RAW in Ottawa, Canada has sold 6,845 tickets; WWE SmackDown in Worcester, MA has sold 5,279 tickets; WWE RAW in Dayton, OH has sold 5,394 tickets; WWE SmackDown in Omaha, NE, has sold 6,961 tickets; WWE RAW in Green Bay, WI has sold 4,929 tickets; and WWE RAW in St. Paul, MN has sold 9,502 tickets.
The WWE SummerSlam in Cleveland, OH on August 3 has 46,260 tickets out. WWE RAW in Baltimore, MD on August 5 has sold 6,662 tickets, WWE SmackDown in Tulsa, OK is at 6,687 sold tickets, WWE RAW in Austin, TX is at 10,795 sold tickets, as of now. Furthermore, WWE SmackDown in Orlando, FL has 7,370 out, WWE live event in Lakeland, FL has 2,436 sold, WWE live event in Estero, FL has 2,944 sold, WWE SmackDown in Washington, DC has 8,323 sold, and WWE RAW in Providence, RI has sold 5,317 tickets.
