During the upcoming WWE Clash at the Castle: Scotland pay-per-view event set for Saturday, Piper Niven is slated to go one-on-one with Bayley for the WWE Women’s Championship title.
Niven recently sat down with Denise Salcedo from Instinct Culture to shed more light on how the match came about. Niven expressed her excitement and nerves going into the match, saying,
“My initial knowledge of the Clash at the Castle was shrouded in suspense, I had heard no rumblings of any match specifics. I was driven by my aspiration to be included in the event’s card. My anticipation built over weeks. Chelsea Green, my personal cheerleader when the cameras are rolling and even in behind-the-scenes, was my moral boost as I contemplated the big step. I confided in her, ‘I think the time is right. I’m going to ask today.’ She responded encouragingly, ‘You’ve got this. Aim for it. Your spot is in this show.’ Feeling a renewed sense of optimism, I approached Triple H and made my pitch. He inferred my request and assured me, ‘We have plans underway.’ That was a relief. I had pictured presenting a detailed argument, outlining why I deserved this opportunity. But it turned out to be simple and straightforward. That was good news indeed.”
