NWA Reveals Georgia Logo, Brings In The Rock ‘N’ Roll Express For Upcoming Tapings

Billy Corgan’s revived iteration of the National Wrestling Alliance will soon hold its first round of TV tapings in one of the NWA’s old strongholds. Because of the history that the organization has in Georgia, Bill Corgan felt that it was only right to honor the tradition with a logo that harkened back to what came before.

Georgia, The National Wrestling Alliance is coming home to you. Which is why we’ve gone out of our way to make this very special logo the flagship symbol for our upcoming television tapings in Atlanta, September 30th and October 1st. I have so much history with the area, from recording Siamese Dream in Marietta in 1992 and 93, to those Saturday mornings watching the Nature Boy tear it up from Techwood Studios. And here we’ll be just down the block, a stone’s throw away from those vaunted days, at GPB studios in front of 154 strong. I can guarantee that our shows we’ll be like no other currently out there, and in my opinion that’s the best way to honor the legacy of the NWA; by pushing forward while always honoring the past. We hope you’ll be there to join us!

Tapings are scheduled for September 30 and October 1, kicking off one of the most eventful months in the last 15 years of pro wrestling. Talent is going everywhere as organizations settle into new roles. That includes legends like Robert Gibson and Ricky Morton. After several years of showing that they still had something to offer in the ring and an appearance at the NWA’s recent Crockett Cup, the Rock-N-Roll Express will be a part of the first tapings.

Other stars at the taping include Jim Cornette, Colt Cobana and current NWA World Champion Nick Aldis. It’s still not clear where NWA will air their new TV show, but there might be announcements surrounding the events in a matter of weeks.
