Sidney Akeem, previously known as SCRYPTS, Reggie, and Reginald Thomas, parted ways with WWE following the expiration of his contract on June 1, 2024. The former WWE performer is now set to appear at GameChanger Wrestling (GCW) on June 15th. In a recent conversation with Fightful, Akeem highlighted a few wrestlers he is eagerly anticipating working with on the independent wrestling circuit.

Former WWE Superstar Lio Rush and NXT talent EJ Nduka are among those Akeem is most excited to work with. During his conversation, Akeem stated,

“I’m excited about the opportunity to work with a number of brilliant wrestlers. EJ, the Judge, has been my friend for the longest time. He was responsible for introducing me to impactful workout routines and as a result, I owe him a lot. He has been like a brother to me, supporting me in my spiritual journey and I look forward to working with him. Other impressive names include Lio Rush, whose work I have admired for a long time. I strongly believe that our collaboration could result in astonishing performances. [Linsen], he is also a great friend and has helped me update my costume, so I’m thrilled to work with him too.”

In addition, Akeem also shared some of his plans outside the wrestling arena. He revealed,

“I’m thrilled about the future. Montreal is where my training started and I can’t wait to return. The folks in Calgary have also gotten in touch. Apart from wrestling, I’m involved in several ventures. I’m a writer and an aspiring actor with some promising lead roles in films and series lined up. Although the decision not to renew my contract was initially disappointing, considering my fiancé is pregnant, it has also unlocked opportunities that I had previously set aside. In that sense it has been a mixed blessing.”
