As previously announced via eWn, there were some significant departures from TNA Wrestling last week, which consequently led to growing unease among the behind-the-scenes crew.
The recent exits of Lou D’Angeli, RD Evans, and Dave Sahadi combined with the unclear nature of TNA’s agreement with WWE, has created an atmosphere of anxiety, primarily resulting from insufficient communication with the performers.
The past creative leaders, such as Jimmy Jacobs, Scott D’Amore, Tommy Dreamer, and RD Evans, have all experienced shifts in their roles. With D’Amore’s termination, Jacobs transitioning to AEW, and Evans’ withdrawal, Dreamer is the sole remaining member from this set.
At present, Dreamer is closely working with Hunter “Delirious” Johnson and Jorge Barbosa. Barbosa, despite being recognized for his documentary work, has very few experiences in the realm of wrestling.
In light of recent departures, only Greg Bagarozy remains in the booking department. There were also talks of holding constant live tapings every Thursday at Full Sail University, an idea which might face difficulties now considering D’Angeli, a key player in the scheme, is no longer involved.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, while there’s still some optimism, the disinterest shown by Full Sail University subsequent to D’Angeli’s exit and general hesitation towards live tapings have cast doubts over the plan.
Furthermore, particular duties that were handled by the employees who have since left will now be outsourced.
